Beautifully written Sam! I share the same love for fall. Give me all of the soup, chili, and shepard’s pie - they’re so warm and comforting✨

The kitchen is such sensory place, it feels so good to be in my body there! I love the slowing down you talked about here, I find myself going that way in the fall too. Something about soups taking time to simmer, letting the onions brown, root veggies taking forever to go soft...

Alsoooo, Normal Gossip is the BEST!

Yes! I love you mentioning the sensory nature of the kitchen. I always think of my body as a "bad" or scary place to be and the kitchen really is the place that melts away. It really is so magical!

YES, Normal Gossip is my life-line right now!!! Haha.

I am less afraid of the winter because you have, this morning, reminded me that there is yet safety, and possibilities for abundant joy, in the not-so-stark season to come. Sam, you are a lovely, lovely voice to experience.
